Christopher J. Broccolo

Chris Broccolo is responsible for developing and implementing market and investment strategies, asset selection, and underwriting and client relationships.  Since forming the company in 2003, Verus acquired 2,200 acres of land and initiated eleven million square feet and $760 million of development projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Prior to forming Verus, Chris was Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners, where Chris was responsible for managing the firm's activities in the Midwest and Toronto.  Chris began his career in 1984, and has extensive background in acquiring, developing, financing, and leasing all types of income producing property.

Timothy J. McEnery

Tim McEnery coordinates all of the company’s debt and equity capital, financial analysis, and accounting administration for corporate and project-related requirements. Tim also is responsible for negotiating, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, joint venture documents and leases.

Since forming the company in 2003, Verus acquired thirty five land parcels totaling over $220 million in joint venture partnerships with Leaf Mountain, LLC, Walsh Group, MetLife, SITQ, ING Real Estate (Canada), Sun Life Investment Management, Morguard Investments, Cabot, AEW, USAA and Clarion. Verus has completed over $750 million of building projects and sold twenty-three projects valued at over $470 million.

Prior to forming Verus in 2003, Tim was Senior Vice President - Finance, for Higgins Development Partners and its predecessor firm Walsh, Higgins & Company which he joined in 1986. Over his career Tim has been involved in all types of project and entity-level capitalization totaling in excess of $2 billion.

Robert D. McCormick

Bob McCormick manages all aspects of development and construction for build-to-suit and speculative building projects. Responsibilities include design and construction management, municipal coordination and customer interface. Since forming the company in 2003, Bob has successfully managed the completion of twenty-eight office and industrial buildings totaling nearly eight million square feet ranging in size from 60,000 to over 1,000,000 square feet. Verus currently has over $600 million of projects in its development pipeline, including $220 million currently under construction.

Prior to forming Verus, Bob was Senior Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners and its predecessor firm Walsh, Higgins & Company where he began his career in 1981. Over his career Bob has managed the development of over 25 million square feet of office, industrial and mixed-use facilities.

Jay J. Marr

Jay Marr manages all aspects of the land development process, which includes site selection, due diligence, budgeting, land planning, government approvals, design and construction management, and infrastructure improvements. Since forming Verus in 2003, Jay managed the development of twenty-three business parks totaling 1,800 acres in markets throughout the United States and Canada. 

Prior to forming Verus in 2003, Jay was Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners and its predecessor firm Walsh, Higgins & Company, which he joined in 1989. Over his career Jay has been involved in the development of thousands of acres of business parks and over 20 million square feet of industrial, office and mixed-use facilities. Jay began his career in real estate in 1986 as a loan officer with First Chicago Bank.

Ryan D. Hahn

Vice President, Development

Ryan Hahn manages the development of land, infrastructure, build-to-suit and speculative projects. His responsibilities include the administration of the planning and approval process, management of the construction team, as well as assisting with due diligence research and land acquisition.

Since joining the company in 2006, Ryan has successfully managed the completion of seven projects totaling more than 2.1 million square feet in Indianapolis, Nashville, and York, PA; which includes a 62,000 square foot office built to-suit for Procter & Gamble in Fayetteville, AR, a 150,000 square foot three story office building built to-suit for TMG Health in Jessup, PA and a 137,500 square foot office-warehouse built to-suit for Helmer Inc. in Noblesville, IN. Ryan also manages business parks in Indianapolis, Louisville, and Charlotte.

Prior to joining Verus, Ryan was Vice President of United Construction Ent. Co. where he managed the construction of industrial, office and medical projects.

Robert Wilkinson

Vice President, Development

Bob Wilkinson is in charge of development and construction of industrial and office properties in Western Canada. His responsibilities include the coordination and design of development projects, due diligence, planning, budgets, government approvals, and project management. 

Since joining the company in 2006, Bob has managed the successful completion of five office warehouse buildings in Calgary totaling 650,000 square feet and five buildings in Edmonton totaling 408,000 square feet. Bob has also been actively involved with the acquisition, due diligence, closing and entitlement process of a 300 acre assemblage of land in Calgary, 24 acres in Rocky View County, and two parcels totaling 260 acres in Edmonton.

Prior to joining Verus, Bob has 25 years experience in construction, leasing, sales and property management of commercial property in Alberta.

Elkins Wetherill

Elky Wetherill’s responsibilities are managing and coordinating the firm’s development activities in the Mid-Atlantic Region, which includes developing and implementing market strategies, identifying opportunities, site selection and analysis, acquisition, entitlements, client and broker relationships and coordinating project team members.  

Since joining the company in 2006, Elky has acquired 350 acres of land and initiated several major projects: a 624,000 square foot speculative bulk warehouse development in York, PA that is now 100% leased to GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Products Group; a 360,000 square foot build-to-suit manufacturing/warehouse facility in Palmer Township, PA for VF Imagewear - Majestic Athletics; a 150,000 square foot office build-to-suit for TMG Health; and 1.1 million square feet currently under construction on a speculative basis in the Chrin Commerce Center, Palmer Township, PA.

Prior to joining Verus, Elky was a market officer for First Industrial. Elky has over 35 years experience in development construction, financing, leasing, management and disposition of industrial, office and residential properties.

Todd Dewalt

Senior Development Manager

Todd Dawalt manages the development and construction of industrial and office properties in the Midwest. His responsibilities include the management of design partners and construction teams, coordinating with municipal agencies, quality control and project management.

Prior to joining Verus in 2015, Todd was the General Manager of a municipal construction company in Kentucky. Todd has 20 years of experience in construction leadership, business development, and managing construction and real estate projects for clients including Procter & Gamble, Jones Lang LaSalle, Duke Energy, and The Stratford Companies ranging up to $110 million in value.

Jean Foss

Controller

Jean Foss oversees the accounting, financial, insurance and human resource management for all corporate and existing entities. With almost 20 years of real estate accounting experience, Jean manages the accounting team and provides accounting, financial, tax and audit reporting to owners and investors of the existing property portfolio including acquisitions and sales throughout the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining Verus, Jean was Corporate Accounting Manager for Related Midwest in Chicago responsible for managing the accounting and financial processes for new luxury high-rise developments and historical preservation developments throughout the Midwest. Jean began her career in public accounting and became a Senior Accountant before migrating into private industry.

Paula Tanielian

Senior Project Accountant

Paula Tanielian handles the construction draw process and financial reporting for existing projects in the United States and Canada. Paula works closely with project managers and contractors ensuring the most relevant and accurate timely pay applications are prepared. Once the construction process has finished, Paula then handles accounting for the operating buildings where she works directly with tenants and property managers.

Prior to joining Verus, Paula was a Staff Accountant for Kessler, Orleans & Silver providing financial services and compilations to clients.
